Business Portrait: Headshots

“You don’t get a second chance to make a first impression so make sure your one-shot counts!”

The Business Portrait (let’s stop calling it headshot because it goes beyond that) has a useful application for you. The way we will capture this picture depends on what you want to communicate. If you are a job seeker, you should show your charisma, determination, and candid smile. If you have a leadership position in a company, you want to show your empathy and the positive energy that empowers your team.

Crossed arms photos and cheesy smiles are outdated. Let’s create a business portrait for you that is clean, timeless, relevant, and the most important: a picture that you see your real you in it.

Name

Bruno had a cropped photo from his Graduation group class as his profile picture on Linkedin.
Now he has updated the Linkedin Profile photo with a planned picture. He wanted to look serious and confident. Bruno was hired right after he updated his new photo. Coincidence? I don't think so 🙂

Name

Her previous Profile Picture was a cropped image from an event in a low resolution. Now, Julie has updated her LinkedIn Profile with a planned photo, taken in natural light, in a great background, and a sincere smile. If you know her and see this picture, you can feel her essence and charisma in the photo.
An interesting point: Julie had an interview right after she had updated her profile picture on LinkedIn. The recruiter noticed how professional she looked. Juliene was hired! Of course, she was hired because of her skills but also because first impressions matter.
You have only one Picture to give a glimpse of who you are.

Name

Her previous photo was a self-picture. The light is ok and her face is well-positioned. But it is difficult to express her professional attitude in a snapshot. Thinking about it, Naiara decided that it is important to have a professional photo properly planned to gain more visibility as a job seeker.

Name

Poli already had a good profile photo, but she was going through several changes (good changes) in her life, and she thought that a new photo would be a way to show that she is on a next level of her career and life.
