Patricia is an excellent painter. I had the opportunity to watch and photograph her entire creative process.
Nature is a big part of her inspiration.
For this shoot we discussed in our planning meeting which aspects of Patricia’s personality we would explore in the session: Nature and cycling are part of her life and that’s why we went to Nose Hill Park. After so much inspiration from a late summer morning, we finished our session in her home studio and I photographed “The-Artist-Patricia” in action! Every brushstroke on white canvas has turned into a beautiful piece of art!
I am a contemporary abstract painter who paints intuitively in an abstract expressionist style. I create medium to large paintings in acrylic and mixed media. My work is infused with movement and depth and is characterized by loose brushstrokes, mark making and bright colours. I am inspired by nature and the world around me.
Through my art, I want to enhance people’s lives and homes, and make them feel positive, alive and energized!
